Cases of the authorities preventing journalistic activity are being registered with increasing frequency in Ukraine. In the first two months of 2024 alone, 25 cases of violations of press freedom by state bodies were registered. The situation is complicated by the war against Russia, as critical press is perceived by some Ukrainian officials as an internal threat to the state's defence.
